A big thank you to those "Rain Dancers" at last a drop of the wet stuff, not enough to make a big difference, but enough to fill the water butt and to wake up the slugs.

A couple of things, at the allotment its water & weed, feed and weed  or if you are just a weed spotter its time to tick your spotter books. The sweet peas, beans and peas should all be on the sticks by now  and the cabbages and others established, remember in Wexham we have very few thin pidgeons so get the nets out. If you have some strawberrys watch out for the birds and enjoy them while you can.

You will remember I said I was going to try and grow some melons in the greenhouse, well, they are doing fine with the first flower this weekend as the picture below shows.
